What if your anxiety has nothing to do with what’s happening right now?

Imagine you’ve been invited to a friend’s place and it turns out she lives on the street where you grew up. As you approach the street you start to feel anxious. There’s nothing else going on, you’ve had a lovely time and you’re just going to visit your friend.

At least, that’s what it looks like on the surface.

Below the surface however, there’s a different story going on, and that story is stored in your body as energy! In fact, it’s the old energy from some long ago event triggering your current state of anxiety.

Maybe you were bullied as a child in that street. Or you heard the neighbours fighting and it scared you.

When the past isn’t over

You see, our past isn’t really past, not energetically.

While the mind has memories stored within, so too the body stores the energy of those memories.

Now here’s the thing.

It’s the stored energy in your body pulling your emotional strings!

Our perception of life is perceived through this energy.

For instance, how many times have you found yourself in a situation that’s made you feel sad, angry, or afraid, and there’s no obvious reason for it.

That’s because the present situation is triggering an old memory long forgotten, but energetically still unresolved. It’s the negative energy in your body causing your emotional response in the NOW.

Put another way, the current situation triggers the energy behind the old, and perhaps, long forgotten memory.

The present situation isn’t the problem. It’s the negative emotion (energy) from the past, stored in the body, creating your pain in the present.

Tapping gives this energy a voice

Emotion = E-motion = energy in motion.

EFT or tapping works on the stuck emotional energy to reveal the situation or circumstances from whence it came. It gives it a voice.

As you tap on the feelings in your body you access the memory behind the energy, you tap on it, and it’s over!

This is where working with a trained EFT practitioner is invaluable.

  1. They know what they’re doing, how to get to the core issue in a gentle way.
  2. With the more difficult aspects of an issue, it’s hard to get to the depths required on your own! To fully resolve the deeper issues, an EFT practitioner is invaluable.

From personal experience, no one is without issues! I use EFT myself because clearing old energetic patterns of behaviour on a regular basis is invaluable to ongoing wellbeing and happiness.

One last thing, don’t be afraid to do your inner work, because it’s not what you think it’s going to be. Especially if you’re tapping.

It’s time to free¬† yourself from the past, so you can live a happy life in the present. When you do, the sky’s the limit!
